New Lodge

Built in 2009 this house is simply quite special. With 7 bedrooms and sleeping up to 18 it can accommodate family gatherings, friends re-uniting or even a small wedding party. Designed by us with a local architect we tried to combine the traditional Scottish lodge feel with modern comforts. The house has underfloor heating downstairs using a ground source heat pump system and is very cosy. The kitchen has a 5 oven Aga and Aga companion giving loads of oven space, there is an American style fridge freezer and a further larder fridge as well as a wine fridge. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer plus extra-large sink. The kitchen boasts 2 dishwashers and is well supplied with glassware, crockery and kitchen gadgets (including bread maker, ice-cream maker, blenders and food processors).

Located 50 miles from Dingwall, 20 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh and 4 miles from Lochcarron
The good news is that Tesco can deliver to the Lodge on a daily basis but there are also two very well stocked shops in the village and a variety of shops in Kyle of Lochalsh.
Great for exploring the west coast and only 25 miles to Skye, 15 miles to Plockton and situated on the NC500.

Attractions & activities

Eilean Donan Castle is 18 miles away and a drive over the famous Bealach na Ba to Applecross will leave you breathless ! There are so many mountains waiting to be climbed and some even a stroll from the back door.

If you fancy some fishing we can arrange that on the river that runs beside the house and there are plenty hill lochs which are bursting with brown trout.

Skye is packed with distilleries to visit as well as those famous Outlander sights.

Plockton offers seal cruises as well as some cracking local pubs and eateries.

The gardens at Attadale are spectacular and Inverewe is not too far away as well.

You can go kayaking in Plockton, wildlife boat trips operate from Gairloch and see birds of prey at Sheildaig Lodge Falconry.

Or after a game of tennis, table tennis and a wander up the river you can just sit down and relax in the lodge and admire the view and watch the deer come into the paddocks of an evening !
